AMDA Team Conducts Pre-Visits Ahead of 2025 Nyamitanga Cathedral Caravan
As the AMDA fraternity prepares for the 2025 caravan, a team of organizers conducted a pre-visit to the parishes that requested to be considered for visitation during the events. The caravan will take place from August 29-31, 2025, at Nyamitanga Cathedral. The team, led by AMDA Chairman Mr. Chris Gumisiriza and his Vice Chairperson Ms Tumusiime Katherine, along with members of the leisure and events, media, and health committees, visited the Parishes of Kibona, Katukuru, and Nyamitanga Cathedral on Saturday, February 8, 2025. The first stop was at Kibona Parish, where they were welcomed by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Chrysanthus Kihembo, and his curate, Rev. Fr. George William Mbangira, along with the head of laity, Asiimwe Sylvia, and other executive members. The parish, which has a population of 21,532 Christians, was established in 2010 after being carved out of Nyamitanga. The Parish Priest and his team presented a report on the state of education, health, and the economy in their area, focusing on challenges that need the attention of AMDA caravanners.
