AMDA CARAVAN 2022 IN BUHWEJU

Today 2^nd September 2022, a fleet of Buses and Cars arrived at Butare Parish in Buhweju District for the  8^th Annual AMDA Caravan.

The theme for this year’s  caravan is  Genesis 1: 31 ³¹ God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.

This Year’s Caravan is particularly interesting in AMDA because it comes after two years of lock down. Over 200 Gallant Men, Women Girls and Boys of AMDA will this weekend preach the 7 pillars of AMDA in all the Parishes of Buhweju namely Butare, Nyakyitoko, Kashorero and Bihanga.

AMDA Pillars are:

1. Unity
2. Spiritual Development
3. Leadership Development
4. Economic Empowerment
5. Education
6. Health.
7. Environmental Protection

Among the activities will be a mega medical camp that is expected to offer medical services to over 2000 people. These services will range from minor ailments to major ones. The Other activities include Launch of a tree planting and avocado planting campaign, Counselling Sessions on Alcohol and drug abuse, Economic empowerment sessions, Leadership trainings, technical and vocational education sensitization to mention but a few.
