Rt.Rev. Dr. Lambert Bainomugisha
The Archbishop Elect
Dear Your Lordship and Archbishop Elect,
RE: CONGRATULATIONS UPON YOUR APPOINTMENT.
Kitabi Seminary Old Boys’ Association (KISOBA) with a lot of gratitude congratulates you upon your appointment as the Archbishop Elect of Mbarara Archdiocese .What a great honor that this brings to us your old boys and specifically your classmates of 1978 at Kitabi Seminary! This appointment confirms God’s calling to serve his people.
ACTS 20:28 “So keep watch over yourselves and over the flock which the Holy Spirit has placed in your care. Be the shepherds of the church of God which he made his own through the blood of his son”.
We thank the Holy Spirit for enlightening His Holiness Pope Francis who has chosen to continue shepherding us in another capacity as our ordinary for the Archdiocese of Mbarara.
We express our sincere appreciation to the outgoing Archbishop Paul K Bakyenga who has with no doubt steered God’s work with utmost humility and commendable spiritual guidance. He leaves a very big legacy punctuated by both institutional and spiritual growth in bounds and folds. We wish him God’s abundant blessings in his retirement. Besides your immediate predecessor, His Grace Paul K Bakyenga, are Bishop Francois-Xavier Lacoursiere, Bishop Jean-Marie Gaetan Ogez and Bishop John Baptist Kakubi from whom you can draw inspiration to further God’s work.
As an Association of Old Students of a seminary, we appreciate the role we are called upon to play in continuing to support you and your team of both clergy and laity to advance God’s mission of evangelization and your spiritual vision to lead our Diocese to greater heights. Be inspired by 1 Samuel 12:24 “But be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.”
May the Almighty God bless you, guide you, and inspire you to serve his people according to his call.
Yours in Christ,
Chris Gumisiriza C
