MESSAGE BYAMDA CHAIRMAN

Dear People of God,

I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

On behalf of the AMDA Executive Committee, I warmly welcome you to this Palm Sunday Mass. I extend special thanks to the members of the Marrieds Council for beautifully animating today’s Mass—congratulations on a job well done.

I also offer a heartfelt welcome to our elders, whom we have dearly missed praying with. In the same spirit, I warmly welcome and thank our main celebrant, Fr. Hillary Katusiime, along with the co-celebrants, for presiding over this Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

I sincerely thank the leadership of the AMDA Marrieds Council for organising and animating today’s liturgy. The vocation of marriage is of great importance, as it serves as a foundational institution that supports social stability, moral continuity, and human development.

Your service today demonstrates the vital role marriage plays in building strong families and nurturing morally upright children, thereby contributing to a stable and thriving society. We truly appreciate your dedication and teamwork.

As we journey through the Lenten Season, which began on Wednesday, 18th March, this Palm Sunday ushers us into Holy Week—a sacred time for reflection on the life, passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I encourage all of us to observe this period with prayer and devotion. I also commend AMDA Families 3 and 4, as well as the AMDA Youth, for their acts of charity during Lent. May the Lord bless you abundantly for your generosity.

As AMDA, we remain steadfast in our mission to evangelise through our seven pillars, striving to live according to Christ’s teachings. We aim to lead by example, preach through our actions, and glorify God by being a light in our homes and workplaces.

I call upon all members, especially those in leadership, to reflect on this calling and continue standing out as beacons of hope.

Rubaga Project Update

The Rubaga Project has taken longer than expected, which has understandably raised concerns regarding progress and status.

An update has been included in this bulletin outlining:

  • Current status
  • Financial needs
  • Completion plans

We kindly ask for your continued support during this critical phase, which requires substantial resources despite limited visible progress.

Strategic Development

Today, 29th March, we are pleased to launch the first AMDA Five-Year Strategic Plan.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to:

  • AMDA elders led by Chairman Emeritus Dr. Ampe Gaston
  • Economic Empowerment Council led by Mr. Venny Birusya

This roadmap will guide our annual programs and activities across all councils.

  • 4th April: AMDA Youth and Men Day Out (including a Men’s Affairs talk). All men and male youth are encouraged to attend.
