On November 21, 2025, the AMDA Executive Committee held a full-day meeting at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Gumisiriza. The day began with the sacrifice of the Mass led by Rev. Fr. Dr. Darius Magunda and Rev. Fr. Stephen Baryamujura. The Homily centered on Christ the King and its importance and meaning in the lives of Catholics.
In his remarks,the chairperson expressed gratitude to the members for their dedication and encouraged innovative ideas to create a lasting impact on the communities served by AMDA.
He triggered a discussion centered on initiating a legacy project during the current committee term. The committee recognized that such a project would not only address immediate needs but also strengthen AMDA’s presence in the parishes it serves.
Another major agenda item was re-engineering the Caravan program, which aims to support different communities. The committee agreed on the importance of maintaining current activities while incorporating a legacy project into their outreach efforts. This new approach aims to ensure that each visit leaves a lasting benefit beyond immediate assistance.
The planning for the annual AMDA End of Year Party, scheduled for December 14, 2025, at Emperor Heights, Kisubi, was also discussed. The event will celebrate the year’s accomplishments with a fee of 25,000 UGX for adults and 15,000 UGX for children.
Additionally, the committee reviewed the AMDA online registration platform, aiming to streamline member registration and engagement, and valuable suggestions for its improvement were made.
Recognizing the importance of financial sustainability, the committee stressed the need to develop income-generating projects for AMDA. They also emphasized reviewing the AMDA strategic plan to adapt to changing circumstances and continue effectively meeting goals.
A significant change introduced was the decision to hold monthly Executive Committee meetings in the homes of committee members. This initiative aims to deepen connections, strengthen relationships, and foster unity among AMDA leadership, encouraging open discussions and collaborative planning in a more personal setting.
As the meeting concluded, members felt optimistic and committed.With a clear vision and renewed energy, the meeting ended on a positive note.
